R. Buckmister Fuller

When an individual is referred to as a 'crackpot'  i find myself drawn to them,.. not because they have been persecuted by society - instead it is fundamentally because of their unique perspective on life, their ideas and creative capcity are intriguingly outstanding.

"I don't know what I am. I know that I am not a category. I am not a thing - a noun. I seem to be a verb, an evolutionary process - an integral function of the universe"

Let architects sing of esthetics that bring

Rich clients in hordes to their knees;

Just give me a home, in a great circle dome,

Where stresses and strains are at ease...

Long silence draws long thought - you do not belong to you, you belong to the universe... you and all men are here for the sake of other men....

Fuller was an engineer, author, designer, inventor and futurist. A pioneer of sorts, a crackpot by nature. In 1927 he began his quest to discover the principles operative in the universe, he lept into the future, he percieved a population explosion, understanding that if reasources were not utilised, reasources would become scarce and men will begin to "club each other to death". An extraordinary notion to depict for the 1940's...
