waking

I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked, dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix, angelheaded  hipsters burning for ancient heavenly connection to the starry dynamo in the machinery of the night, who poverty and taters and hollow-eyed and high sat up smoking in the supernatural darkness of cold water flats floating across the tops of cities contemplating jazz - Allen Ginsberg

Now on to Dan Holdsworth - brilliant photographer. Born in England in 1974, he has been exploring the world, and indeed, other worlds - openly accessing parallel transit states. This is some of his work, however he can also be found in the Saatchi Online Gallery, as well as at his own personal website

Array (featured above) has to be one of my favorite pictures - the endless drift of time passing seems to stop momentarily as the viewer is drawn into the picture. It also displays the vastness of eternity through the use of simplicity. Currently I am designing a house which uses the simplicity in form to silence the continuous drumming of the world in motion... I think it may actually come along quite nicely.

Lastly I will leave you with another of Dan Holdsworths pictures, and if he ever stumbles across this blog I would like to ask him if I could ever write a feature article on himself and his work - I could only dream of one day meeting this man down the the road
