They are avid listeners, those drones of consumption - driven by the calls of daily requirement, only to find that daily requirements are only expressions of predicament...

For those captivated by Californication, it is based on the life of the write Charles Bukowski. If you haven't dabbled in his titles, I advise within the foreseeable future,  that you read his work. Some titles include:

John Fante, author of Ask the Dusk, is also quite an intriguing writer. It should be noted that Oprah did not grace a sticker authorising endorsement on the cover of these titles - I have always wondered why Oprah has never had a class action suit filed against her as a result of becoming a dictator of consumption...
